Our garden is blooming
With our neighbours, we have begun the work of reclaiming an over-grown communal area and turning it into a vegetable co-op. Reclaiming social space for growing vegetables...and making friends with neighbors. Our work is starting to bloom! -
Inchcolm - St. Columba's Island
We spent Pentecost with our St. Columba's Church family on Inchcolm, that means, Columba's Island. It is an island on which St. Columba lived in the mid 500's when he first came to Scotland. It is the 'Inch' named in Shakespeare's Macbeth on which the Viking king Svend, Canute's father, paid a few thousand to have his viking warriors buried. It's the end of the world (well, a least the end of Denmark)
Skagen is the northern most town in Denmark, at the tip of the European continent (Jutland). For centuries, artists have flocked to this town for to paint with the colors of the vivid northern light, and the unique images of the Atlantic Ocean North Sea and Baltic Sea crashing together at literally one point. And for us, it made a great little holiday. -
