There are so very many prayer requests that we have to lift up each and everyday. Please include these in your personal offices of prayer, your small groups or prayer circles, and your communities of faith. Check back, as our prayer needs change. Here are a few...
Please pray that people of faith all over the world would understand their calling to be instruments of God's grace and peace. Pray for peace and reconciliation to be found between all nations, not only in areas of conflict, but the root causes of those conflicts that exist in all of our nations and institutions. Pray that we would seek justice in our social and personal economics, lifestyles, and our posture towards all who live different lifestyles, and yet were created by the same loving God.
Please pray for all missionaries who serve the Church, both at home and abroad. Pray for everyone in our churches, that they would understand, they too are missionaries, not just members, but called to be disciples.
Please pray for the Danish Folkekirke (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark), their leaders, their members and their government. Please pray that the International Church, in partnership with the Folkekirke, can be a light of hope, a sign of reconciliation in the midst of a Europe that is politically divided, and socially strained. Pray that we would continue to be a place of interaction, revelation, and peacemaking between God's people of all races and cultures.
Please pray for the International Church of Copenhagen. Pray for its youth, its families, those that we serve who are seeking identity and purpose in a changing new world. Please pray that our worship reflects the joy and identity of our international, ecumenical fellowship of Christians. Pray that we would be able to share the source of our hope and joy with the wider Church.
Please pray for the youth of ICC, in our preparation for our mission trip to South Africa. Please pray also, for the staff and children of Sophumelela Preschool, and all the ministries of St. Michael's and All Angels Parish.
Please pray for the ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's Global Missions, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, Lutheran World Relief, and the ecumenical ministry of the World Council of Churches.
Please pray for Malik, and for all refugees and asylum seekers. Please pray for all who have the gifts and opportunity to show faithful hospitality and hope to those seeking a new life. Give thanks that for generations, from Abraham to the Holy Family and to this day, God has blessed and guided the refugee and the foreigner to know his love and peace, even in difficult days and untrodden paths.
Please pray for our family, friends and colleagues that we had to leave in order to follow this calling to missions. (Mark 10.17-31) Give thanks that through prayer, we are drawn together in the Spirit's tether.
