On this page, I am posting materials that will help you stay up to date regarding situations that need faithful advocacy. According to what is posted on this page, you will be able to find information and access sample letters on issues that are facing people of faith and good conscience. I will provide materials and links to Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Office of Governmental Affiars, Lutheran World Federation, World Council of Churches, and various offices within the United Nations. These organizations provide ample opportunities for action and advocacy in which you and yours can participate according to your gifts and compassion.
Current needs...
I invite you to engage in several pieces of legislative advocacy that are very important for the care of many of the most vulnerable in our society. It was, after all, the good news of Christ's ministry that he came to proclaim the Love of God to the least, the littlest, the lost and the marginalized. (Check out Luke 4) He spent his ministry bringing new life and new hope to those who were most vulnerable in society...and here are some chances for you to do the same.
